Under the Stars
On a warm summer night
sitting next to a roaring bonfire

my heart caught a glimpse of a shooting star
the impact of that movement
felt in the pit of my stomach when he reached over and kissed me

melting into his soul
our bodies showing what our hearts fear to say
the intensity of connecting in the purest of ways

holding my hand and taking me for a ride
in the darkest part of night he found my light
begging me to join him and not run away

turning me into his lover with every breath I take
my dreams explode like a shooting star
bursting to life
wanting him
forever
