Beginning of my story "The Gods Scheme", put here to see the ratings it gets.
              The beginning of a fictional story I call ‘The Gods Scheme’

         How can you kill a god? Their immortality would say that you can not.
But what about a god that was once human and still has such mortal qualities such as lust and greed?
They are still gods just the same, but they are bound by such flaws that make them perfect yet imperfect at the same time.
         A contradiction was created that brought up such matters. It occurred when a star died. And explosion of magnificent light that lit the sky and hurled comets of grace to Earth.
         Five humans were blessed by the comets, and at the same time cursed.
For the comets contained the power of a once great god who lead himself to his own downfall. That god is nameless and no longer matters.
         All that matters now is who currently contains the powers. The powers of Life, Death, Creation, Destruction, and Knowledge.
The five graces that everything consists of. None is more powerful then the other, some just have more use.
For example, Creation is everything, you can create life, you can create death, and destruction. While Death, on the other hand, can just kill.
         In truth the only grace there needs to be is Creation, other than knowledge, why there are others is a mystery that will never be solved.
Now add in the human want for control and power, what the cause and affect will be if a leech of a human had this grace.
Chaos. Disappear. No prosperity to be found because all light is clouded and cloaked by the human minds venom.
         But what would happen if the graced... Were just like me?
A regular person who has their flaws but their soul isn't tainted by such notions of loathing.
Would they be like the do good superhero in comic books, who, on screen, rescue the damsel in distress and are cheered on by their people?
Or are they like the supposed heros of ancient Grease and Rome who do their acts of heroic-ness out of greed and self profit?
Or what if they just don't care and keep their fortune to themselves?
         But what if a Superior hears of these such five people, with these five powerful graces that were bestowed upon them?
He would have them searched down and captured.
His people would use them for dirty little tasks off greed and control.
The every day person will be blind to the truth that the hero that saved them the other day is being controlled by such conspirators.
And what if a conspirator loses control of such gods?

         Which brings up the question of how to kill a god again.
General Ferum pondered over such questions as he entered the holding chamber.
He was given information about these people and the task of training them was granted to him.
With his 40 plus years in the military he was thought to be qualified to do this, but as he glanced at the people in the room there was only three surrounding one person passed out on the floor. No fifth.
What he was about to discover will forever haunt him. For the fifth, god of knowledge, was being dissolved, their entire DNA unraveled by the passed out god on the floor.

         The god of creation, who, with a rare condition, started a chain reaction, of just trying to undo an injury, to blacking out and slowly eliminated the beings exitance.
DNA strand to DNA strand the person changed, mutated, and deformed, feeling every detail of pain, before disappearing completely.

         His warped cries of help can still be heard ringing through the generals ears when he wakes at night, terrorized by nightmares.

         That mans cries went unanswered, for the only person who could have spared him was on the floor while a white haired man healed her.
He knew instantly who his biggest threat now was.
The small, fragile looking girl, who, with one small mishap, can put you through unbelievable pain before ending you completely.

It's a brain twister, her powers.
They defy all the Laws of Physics and all other scientific laws. She can create and destroy matter, she can change DNA, she can also warp time and open doorways to other dimensions.

She is unstoppable... The display of her powers in the briefing was incredible...

         "Are the remaining people alright?" The Generals assistant asked, who followed behind him.
         "Yes, we are," the tall, older looking man affirmed as he raised up from the girl on the floor.
He had deep blue eyes and white long hair that went along with the beard.
         "Good, now what god are you if I don't already know?" Asked the General.
         "I am the god of Life, and the girl will be fine. She is just momentarily unconscious."
         “What happened?” Ferum demanded.
Everyone looked to one another. Nobody really knew the girl. Much less of her weak heart.
         “She’s sick.”
General Ferum looked to the voice. It belonged to the blonde haired boy who he recognized as the god of destruction.
         “Your name is Cobby, correct?”
         “Yes,”
Ferum looked back to the papers he held.
         “19?”
         “yes. And unlike William, I’m still aging.” The boy was grim. There was something certainly sinister about his voice. As if he enjoyed what he just witnessed.
         “She’s awake.” said the god of life, Joseph.General Ferum looked down to the girl. Her jade eyes slowly blinking.
         “Ivey, are you alright?” Joseph softly asked.
The girl stared at him before softly asking, “what happened?”

                                                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         “And finally, under no conditions can you leave this premises. And to leave this hallway you have to have permission from the Superior and a guide. Is this all clear?”
General Ferum stopped reading from his notes and looked up.
         “You can’t just keep us here!” Soffie, death, called out.
         “Yes, we can,” Ferum turned to leave,
         “Lunch will be served to you soon.” He said as he walked through the door.
The group of four was left alone. Taking in their surroundings and thinking about what could happen to them.
         Ivey sat in the corner. Eyes clinched. Memories haunting her. Of the life she was taken from. Her friends and family. Her first kill... When she received her powers it was a nightmare. She could control it much less then, than now. And that was a day ago.
She had hopes that here she could learn to use it properly, but by the accident that just happened, she is loosing hope. All she wanted to do was try and fix his arm that he broke a week prior by falling off the roof...
                             How did I know that’s how he broke it...
         “So, why’d you kill him?”
Ivey jerked up. Cobby stood over her smiling.
         “I did not mean to! It was an accident. I fainted before I could stop it..”
Cobby put his hands up in defense.
         “Calm down, it was just a question. I’m curious. Were you aware that you were torturing him?”
         “Baste-...”
         “Just leave her alone you little punk.” Soffie cut in.
         “Oh like how she left William alone? He was just fine until she tried to 'help him’. What if she wants to do something for one of us? Or are you okay with being destroyed?” he barked. Seeing what was happening Joseph walked over, always being one to keep peace.
         “You’re just scared, son. We all are. You don’t have to single out her. She’s just as scared as you.”
         “I’m not scared, dammit.” Cobby hissed.
         “Then why are you shaking?” Joseph pointed out.
         “Whatever,” Cobby stormed to the other side of the room where he sat against the wall a cast glares to the three.
Sighing Ivey looked down.
         “Thank you two for making him stop.”
Soffie gave her a soft smile and patted her back. “Don’t mention it.”
         “You will tell us if he bothers you again, yes?” Joseph asked.
         “Yes, I will.” Affirmed Ivey. “And again, thank you..”
As the two elders turned to return to their places Ivey put up her hand.
         “Wait...”
         “Yes, dear?”
         “I won’t do it again... I.. I did not mean to hurt him. I promise I won’t hurt any of you. From now on I will jut stay to myself.”
         For the rest of the night Ivey was alone. She skipped lunch and ate dinner on the bunk of her assigned room. Soffie was given a make-shift room to herself in fear that Ivey might have another accident. The first day surpassed how bad Ivey thought it would be and hoped that the next would be better.
                        Please let me not make another mistake...
                                      To be continued.
