Love, happiness, change and success

LOVE, HAPPINESS, CHANGE AND SUCCESS.
Maybe you wake-up in the morning and you look at yourself in the mirror and you say wow I don’t believe that this is me who have made it this far. Maybe you wake-up with dreams that you want to turn into reality, but everything seems dark and doom. Today is your chance to wake-up and think about the things that you have once wanted to do but delayed them. As we grow older we regret the things we didn’t do, than those we did do (Nelson Mandela). Today is your chance to ask yourself what you really want to do to make this world a better place, something that you really want to do to make your family member a better person and something that you want to do to make your friend, boyfriend or girlfriend a much more superior person. We all want to change the world and make it a better place, but we will never ever be able to do that unless we first change ourselves so that we can be better suited for the world. If I can change, then I will be the light and sign of hope to the person seating next to me, like our body organs: the eye sees the food for the mouth, the mouth takes the food for the intestines, etc. This shows how one person needs another for survival.
In the previous paragraph I spoke about change, what really is this change I mentioned? Human beings are one of the species that don’t like change, have you realised that when you relocate to another house it is likely that you will relocate with 50% of your old stuff that is just to show you how we don’t like change. We as human beings expect life to be a bed of roses, but as we move along the way we come across thorns. We just give up as we always say life is not fair, anyway who said it is fair. We have to learn to accept what we cannot change, we have to make mistakes so we can learn from them, and we have to learn from mistakes of people around us. What I mean here is that we don’t have to get burned to realise that fire burns, surely if fire burns one person who are you not to get burned.
Often we take things for granted for example no matter how successful we can be if we don’t have people to share this success with, our success means nothing. A successful person is the one who balances greatness, happiness, love, and change. A successful person does not measure his/her success by looking on how many people he beats with wealth, a successful person does not measure his success by counting the number of zeros in his bank balance, the number of cars he drive or how big his house. A successful person measures his success by
the number of life’s he has saved, by the number of people he had shown the way of living a better life, he measures his success by looking at his community and saying thanks god for allowing me to make this place a better place.
Maybe you are reading this and you start to wonder whether are you successful or will you be successful, my answer to you is that from the moment you were born that’s the day you become successful. Let’s remember that we are all created by god and he is that only person who does not create failures. Success is not a level to be reached, it is not being great today neither it is to achieve a goal. Success is the continuous action of striving for excellence, a desire to always be part of the best. But why must we want to be successful? Success is always associated with better standards of living, confidence and recognition. Many people are not successful or think they are successful whereas they are not because they don’t know what it takes to be successful. The fact is that we cannot be what we don’t know (Braimoh Bello puts it well when he says-What you do not know, you will not admire, and what you do not admire you will not desire. What you do not desire, you will not acquire) If you truly loves someone, the greatest gift you can give is to allow them to change and be the change they seek if they are to be successful. To be successful you have to allow the people around you to be part of your happiness, not your source of happiness because they will control whether you are happy or not. We are all born with a different tool to build this arch of life so do play your part.
