For the Formwork Poetry Contest, a quinzaine.
Caterwaul in the midnight.
Is yonder a ghost,
To scare me?
Form:Quinzaine
The Quinzaine is an unrhymed poem that consists of three lines, making up a single stanza. The piece has a syllabic count of 7/5/3. But it gets better- The first line of this form makes a statement, which the next two lines ask a question about. So, you have seven syllables to make a statement, then you have five syllables to start your question, and three to finish it. This is harder that it sounds- you will really have to pick and choose your words for the best results.

Halloween is coming up, so to make things a bit more interesting, write me a nature related horror poem ... you have 15 syllables.
