Often told I have a unique prospective, let me share some of it.
Change.

At first we turn to anger, which only leads to pain,
Disappointment follows after and is followed soon by shame,
But the sadness stays with us, it always remains,
For how much we all try, people always change.

The Moment

At what point do you decide to love someone, and be loved by them?
When do you discard both suitors and fantasies alike, to live for only one?
Is it that first declaration of affection, that tentative risk, the hope that your longing is returned,
Or is it in the fires of passion, the roaring, animalistic lust that threatens to consume the union it witnesses,
The time varies, but one moment is constant in all love,
The moment you give freely, the key to your own destruction, and trust it is never used.

The Festive Tragedy.

When the bells of Christmas begin to ring, a choice of heart comes to all,
For many the heart calls our conscience, to mend that which is harmed and draw close that which is neglected,
But true conscience is dead, so guilt speaks instead,
For some the heart calls our generosity, to out-do eachother's selfish competition and prove beyond doubt who is the humblest,
But true generosity stays silent, so ego speaks instead,
Yet, for some the heart calls in ways beyond naming, they give small gifts for they give all year and none need give them thought of mending, for they mend when needed,
These people we love and hate, for they found the spirit we seek, that we should adore,
Instead they are our greatest tragedy, the ones we ignore.
