A new take on The Princess and The Frog |
Callie loves to read fairy tales. One day she knows she will be a Princess too. Callie has tried out each fairy tale, but only one was left she could do. The problem was Callie knew she would not kiss a frog. Frogs are slimy. Frogs eat flies. Frogs have tongue that is way too long. The only solution Callie could think of that would work next, was learn to speak to a frog. The frogs would know which way of becoming a Princess was best. When people spoke to Callie she would croak in the morning. She croaked mid-day. Callie even would even croak as she slept at night. The croaking became so much, Callie's parents took her the Dr. out of fright. The Dr. prescribed a ban on story books he thought her croaking would then be gone the next night. To Callie she could not quit, one day she would be a Princess. The frogs would help her, and the Dr. would be wrong. When Callie's parents took away her story book, she knew what she had to do at play time. She snuck away, and found the fattest frog she could find. Callie tried to croak at the frog, but nothing happened. So, she croaked again. When the frog still did not answer, she decided to give a kiss to him. Callie leaned over and held her eyes together tight. She gave the frog a kiss, and when nothing happened it made her quickly change her mind. Callie could no longer kiss any frogs, they were way to gross. One day she would still be a Princess, but she knew she needed to find her own story first. |
