God's Gift to Us



Last night, I was dreaming of a metronome swinging,

And musical scores, all dancing and singing

To the greatest sound to be heard by humankind.

A gift only God could give for us to find

Hope when we're helpless, and peace to stop fighting.



In the hearts of all people is a never ending scale,

From Do, to Do . . . octave after octave like a sail

Filled with nature's gift from God called a wind gust.

As the part of God's family, able to love and trust,

God's music is our tool . . . like Jonah used the whale!
