A tiny ship rocked nervously
Upon the waves while out to sea.
Filled with fear, it bounced along
And prayed to God, "Please make me strong".
The tiny ship then saw a light.
'Twas dim at first, but soon was bright.
Soon the ship became quite proud.
"I don't need you", she said aloud.
Then she turned away the light.
Again the sky was dark as night.
The waves seemed rougher then before.
The ship determined, "I'll find the shore".
Soon the ship was lost at sea.
She cried to God, "Will you help me?"
Then straight ahead, it shined so bright,
The beauty of the lighthouse light.
The ship was, once again, on course.
She gave up pride with no remorse.
How do I know this ship at sea?
Because, my friend, the ship was me.
