We saw the horror

That Tuesday morn,

Destruction and flames

All around,

Four airplanes flew

Under duress,

Three made their marks,

One did its best,

Innocent lives were lost that day,

Everyone just started to pray,

Father in Heaven,

Please give us the strength,

Please give us the wisdom,

And give us the might,

To help all of those

Who need it this day?

To help all of them in every way,

We’ll all pull together,

To do what we can,

And try to help each other understand,

The mass destruction,

So many gone,

Shed tears of sorrow,

Yet together be strong,

They thought they could hurt us,

They thought they could win,

Did they realize war would begin?

These faceless people

With their names unknown,

They must realize by now,

We’ll find their home,

Justice will come,

It must we say,

Until then we take it day by day.
