overall outcome

this day, my sky is overcast
dark clouds, puffed up & grey
against a dirty blue
background
their edges trimmed with
liquid silver-gold
the only evidence of a
mid-morning sun
the distant horizon
seems a different world
a gentle golden hue
at the arch of a dull globe;
a deceptive beckoning--

despite the extreme bleakness
there is heartbreaking beauty

i could lose myself here--

did i ever notice such beauty before you left?
