The Grocery Store

Electricity shot through her, paralyzing her entire person. Instantly, her heart began to race, palms began to sweat. It was surprising how simply passing a milk jug could drown her with a pool of excitement.
As they fumbled to get the package of Oreo’s from her hand to his, she carefully glanced at his flawless face- afraid he’s catch her studying him and taking his shocking beauty. When she did however, it was to her surprise that he was intently looking back. Hesitantly, she forced only a crooked smile in an attempt to make the situation less uncomfortable. Slowly, his evenly proportioned lips barely parted, forming a tiny grin and partially revealing his pearly teeth. What stole her thoughts the most though, were his deep dimples. They caved in with even a hint of his gorgeous smile. Then, his slight grin transformed into a wide smile. Her heart was sent into a spiral, sinking to drop deep in her stomach. Soon, every thought that ricocheted off the walls of her brain had escaped and only one remained.
The only thing her body allowed her to do was stare at his beautiful face inching closer to hers. This is it she thought he’s finally going to kiss me. Though their faces were only inches apart, she was getting impatient- ready for his lips to be on hers.
Instead of the long-awaited kiss, the only thing exchanged between them was his question: “What’s that between your teeth?”
