Like Ruth standing in an alien field
like Job suffering silent agonies
like multitudes looking for the messiah
like mother Earth holding on
for reformation in human hearts
I too must wait
sometimes in the dark
sometimes in light
for dreams to realize
for plans to materialize.
I too should have the wealth
possessed by a fortunate few,
the only means to pave my path
to lasting peace and joy,
the one universally acclaimed
virtue of yore called Patience.
