about a loved one with cancer.
A Simple word spiral in to chaos,
Spinning madness of an infernal kind.
A rhythmic beat, drumming in her chest,
So loud inside her mind,
Just a whisper in the wind.

Dark eyes full of glee,
Cherry lips curved for laughter:
And a soul full of despair.

Such a pretty mask.
She will let her
dimples,
coy smile,
and a flirtatious flutter of lashes:
fool them all.

Wishes to be found,
Determination not to show it.
A dance in despair
and away from sympathy.
She turns away
simple words bring memories.

a Simple word
Spiraling in to chaos,
Spinning madness of an infernal kind.
Smiling face, lasting taste
She can never forget
Death in there face.

In deaths face
She murmurs:
"Do they need to die?
Is there some mistake?
There laughter I heard only yesterday."

Death only looks away
Face in shadows
Wings ablaze
"Souls live forever, but not in this place."
With his whisper he drifts away.

There alive still,
Soul still attached.
But she knows,
He’ll be back another day
And her cherry lips are curved for laughter.

And the game begins all again
Laughter in place
A smiling disgrace
Even in deaths face
I’ll give them something to laugh about.
As I crumble and wake.
