Raven and Abby

Chapter 1

"Mama," I said "Why is Abby always dressed that way?"

"I don't know Raven. She was like that as a baby. I would try to get her to wear clothes that wear different colors and she would scream and cry her head off."



        I look towards the dock. My sister Abigal was coming. She was dressed in black like always. We don't know why she does that. But back to reality. Abby was wearing a black bathing suit with red skulls on it.



"Hey Abby."

"Hey Raven."

"You all ready?"

"Yup."



        Maggie and Grace came up right behind her. Maggie was our dog. We've had her since me and Abby were babies. Grace was our friend since we started high school.



          We are going on a vaction out to sea. Our mom had promised us since our 16th birthday. That was a month ago. I invited Grace. She loves the sea. I also do, too. I always have. Abby learned to love it.



"Hey mom. I thought Auntie and Percy were coming?"

"They were. But her idiot husband said no because he needed her."

"I hate Gabe."

"He's an idiot and smelles like moldy cheese."



        We left before dusk. But later stopped for a bit because the water was to churny. And to have dinner. Then we went to bed. In the morning we continued on. We had fun. We stopped every night.



          One night i walked on deck. I do this almost everynight The sky is dark blue with stars that were shining bright. The water calm and reflecting the sky. it was a beautiful sight. I always loved the sea. It's peaceful most times. I don't know why i just had this thought. Then i jumped in for a while. When my mother heard the splash she ran from her room to the deck and looked over.

"I'm just swimming mom."



          Then i went over to the boat jumped up and grapped her and pulled her in. When Abby, Maggie, and Grace heard the commotion they all jumped in also. We had splash fights, swimming contests, and other stuff. We played almost all night.

         

          When we were done we all went to bed. We slept till noon. My mother got up to cook something to eat. I woke up with a bad feeling. Something bad was going to happen. I didn't know what yet.



          At almost dusk the water was going crazy. The boat was rocking and rocking. It was getting beaten by the water. My mother was freaking out not knowing what was going on. So was everybody else.

"Mom, i know what is happening. Remember Greek Mythology? About Hades' son the Kraken?"

"Yeah."

"Well we are being attacked by him."

"What?!"

          And then the Kraken attaked. We all screamed. The boat shook with force. Our mom screamed for us to jump off. Before i did i ran to my room. I got my photo album put it in a plastic bag and tied it on my wrist. I ran to the edge of the boat and jumped into the water.

          When i went under i saw that it had my mother. i swam as fast as i could to try to get her. But i was to late it had already crushed her into yellow dust. i saw Abby, Maggie, and Grace were try to go up for but couldn't. I somehow made  a water bubble around each of them.
