Frightening Ride
The Roller Coaster

Last summer my family and I went with friends and one other family to the beach. It was the first time I saw the ocean in my life. It was also the first time I rode a roller coaster. I will write about my fear of the roller coaster.

It goes fast like a train but it goes up and down. When you ride it it makes your heart deep shake and beat like earth quick. After when you get out it makes you feel dizzy and your tears felt.

First, when you went in the amusement park you had to buy a ticket for $25 so you could ride everything in the park. It had a lot of machines that you could ride and that made you feel scared. My Dad asked me to choose one to ride, but I answered his question with a mean voice. I said: “I can ride everything! I am not scared.” My Dad just laughed at me and asked me where I am going now. I pointed to the thing shaped like a train. “Dad first I am going to a ride a train that flies in the sky.” I didn’t know it was a roller coaster. It was shaped like a snake and a train so I called the roller coaster “train.”

I was ready to climb the stairs and my heart started to beat because I couldn’t wait to ride the roller coaster and couldn’t wait to scream out loud. Finally, a worker told me to choose my partner so I chose my mother. At this time, my mom and I got in to sit. A worker came to help us to close the little door and put on the seat belt. Everyone in the roller coaster was ready to ride, their faces looked excited. The roller coaster started to move slowly. I was still talking with my mom and I told her: “This is a cool thing, huh! I love it!” Before the roller coaster rolling I was still talking a lot.

Finally, the roller coaster started rolling faster. I started to close my mouth, my eyes and I stopped talking. I held the safety bar very tightly. I prayed in my mind to God: “God let this stop soon! Please God help me.” But the roller coaster was still going up and down. I quickly took out my hand and I pulled my mother’s shirt and I held the shirt tightly. I guess my mother also was scared because she also held the safety bar extremely tightly.

Now the roller coaster didn’t go up and down but it went around. It went really fast in a circle 3 times. It made me really crazy and dizzy. I still closed my eyes and my heart still beat awfully hard. You can see my body shake and my hand shiver. My mom slammed my hand and she told me to get out. When I got out I felt grateful to be alive. I decided I was never ever going to ride again.
