this short story was based on a dream I had one night. |
We enter the long hall and walk into a large room that smells like some far off middle-eastern spice shop, scented with a strong yet sweet smell of something burning like an incense, as to what scent I will never know... We are also greated by a young woman, she tells us to take a seat and get comfortable... she looks to be in her early twenties, and she seems to be waiting with us, as other people join the room to settle into their chairs or onto the floor... It looks to be about maybe thirty-five to fifty people have come and are all seated, waiting when the lights go dimmed... The young woman then walks up into the middle of the room and in some other language begins to talk to the large group of us as I notice several people such as myself looking around in confusion, at first... Within the next few minutes I realize, that the people all in the room are from many different walks of life, and speak many different languages... Soon she begins welcoming us in English and asks that we be open and try and relax as well as states that Divine Oracle will be joining us all very soon... She makes a complete turn around and most of the room hushes to a silence when I see her... This Divine Oracle enters the room and I am really quite shocked to see how old she looks to be, seemingly not older than twenty! She moves to the center of the room, as we all are seated around her in a large circle. She wears a long flowing veil of sorts and her face is hidden for the time being. She starts by saying in English that We are all gathered here for a special occasion, and she hopes that within the matter of a few hours she will be able to deliever us a message of hope, and of love. As I look around the room, I am perplexed by the faces of the group, it seems overall they understand her statements because it looks as if they all heard and understood what she has just announced. How though? She spoke clearly in English... Is this a dream? I know I heard her... hmmmm. This is going to be quite a night already I can sense it. |
