Contest entry using words storyteller,yesteryear,castle, dragon, horse,knight, magic,storm

Sit down and let me spin you a yarn
about a dragon, a knight and a horse turned unicorn.
In a time long passed, yesteryear gone by,
magic ruled the earth and a storytellers' tale could change a life.

Magic may have ruled the earth but fear made it go 'round,
and dragons with their breath of fire
were subjected to cruelty that today would astound.
Held captive by a storytellers' magical tale,
a dragon lord could fly no more.
Chained and bound in a desolate castle,
he roamed halls without windows or doors.
He was the last of his kind and had all but given up.
He wished for a quick death,
but only magic could change his luck.

Now many years have passed and the dragon lord had become a side show.
People paid good money
to see a dragon a thousand years old.
But on a night of a great storm, the dragons' luck would change.
Born of a storytellers blood,
a sympathetic knight came.
On a beautiful horse he roamed the country side setting right what evil had done;
showing the world that magic could be good
and different was not always wrong.

Hearing of the enchanted dragon, he went to set him free.
With a magical tale,
the castle crumbled at his feet.
Grateful for freedom, the dragon would do anything to repay
but the knight only wanted him to be good,
to always remember this day.
As a companion to the lonely dragon, the knight gave up his noble steed.
And with a magical tale turned her into a unicorn,
so now they both could fly free.
Long after the knight had died,
together the dragon and unicorn would always be;
carrying on what the knight had started...
proving that magic could be good and the power in a story.
