I had an idea what it would be like to have no hands or a tongue to express myself.

Wicked is the man
That has no hands
What could he have done
To be burdened
With just two stubs
What could he have done
To have them cut
Sliced off at the wrists
Clean, clinically, and precise
Such a punishment
Must have been decided
By a jury of his peers
Such cruelty must be part
Of some greater lesson
For not only him
But for all others contemplating
What he has been convicted of doing
He can no longer touch nor feel
His world, seems so surreal
He struggles to get a grip
Both literally and figuratively
Imagination builds in his mind
Aggression burns in his heart
With no form of release
Such a man is truly suffering
But such suffering is not limited
Further silent is indeed he
Because that same man
Has no tongue
It was cut at the root
Clean, clinically, and precise
Done by the hands
Of some sadistic master
He can never speak of his truth
He never writes a single lie
He is an unexpressional beast
Burdened by all that he has done
And all that he has become
If those who condemned him
Wished for a lesson to be learned
I will speak for him and say
That I am sure that such a lesson
Has become one with those of us
With all of our appendages
And God given apparatuses
Wicked is the man
That has no hands
And that is without a tongue
He has no way to express himself
No way to let others know
What such an experience is like…
