After finally having convinced Hebe that yes, all her art supplies were packed; and yes, all her clothes were ironed; and that yes, their airplane tickets were ready, Jae finally persuaded Hebe that she was ready to go.
When Jae and Hebe got into the taxi driving them to the airport, Hebe started complaining.
"I still can't believe that the Crappy Community College for Crapheads is the best school we could get into. I AM A VERY IMPORTANT ARTIST!"
"But an introvert," Jae piped up, "You never enter any contests, so how could your art get known? Anyways, it's Oakwood Community College."
"Same thing," Hebe muttered grumpily. They proceeded the rest of the car ride in silence.
ONE WEEK LATER
"Are we really doing this?" Hebe asked nervously.
Jae's voice reflected Hebe's mood. "Even though this is a community college, I see a lot of competition -- I mean, talented artists."
Hebe and Jae looked at each other in determination. "We can do this."
With that, they took their first steps into the campus of Oakwood.
