Ethel demanded, “Kill those spiders in the basement, George.”
George shrugged, muttered under his breath before descending the basement stairs. A thousand eyes watched as he emptied a can of ‘Spider-Kill’ into the air. As the mist settled onto the damp concrete floor; a silent, mass exodus went unnoticed by George.
Ethel’s screams broke the silence, followed by a thud coming from the kitchen.
George raced upstairs, stumbled over Ethel’s body, clutched his pounding chest and collapsed onto the floor.
Hundreds of tenacious Brown Recluse spiders covered Ethel’s lifeless body. A hundred more were scurrying down her warm throat.
