Back to the gym.
Hello gymnasium my friend,
I’ve come to work out once again.
Because I haven’t been here for awhile;
it’s time to lift weights, maybe run a mile.
For my belly, and some other parts
are loose...a loose caboose.
Again it’s time to work out.

I see the treadmills all in place;
adjust the motor for my pace.
Then feel the beads of sweat upon my skin;
say fortitude because the goal is thin.
Better warm up though, so as not
to play the fool...from muscle pull.
Since that would end the work out.

I try the universal gym,
though I feel weakness in each limb.
Yet still I strive for better muscle tone,
despite my huff and puff and grunt and groan.
And the burn I feel radiates all
through my spine...and my behind.
That is the price of work out.

I exercise my body so,
with muscles that I didn’t know.
Still in the sauna steam is everywhere,
and as I sit here it’s like truth or dare.
For I peek to see if my tummy
has got taut...no it has not.
Expect another work out.
