A Moment in Nature

As I walk through the forest,
it's a nature walk I seek.
I see the wondrous colors of the changing trees,
and feel the crispness of the leaves beneath my feet.

I stop and take a moment to breathe,
taking in all the beautiful scenery You created.
Breath by breath, step after step,
Your masterpiece goes on and on.

In the quiet of nature, my soul is still,
and there comes a time during my worship
where my heart joyfully praises You,
and for a moment I feel connected to You.

You have renewed my strength,
my trust, and my hope.
My faith in You has become stronger,
Your word and commands I will seek.

I know there will be trouble in my days,
and life will sometimes be a little rough
but I know with You, it will all be okay,
Because You take the bad, and turn it to good.

Even when the sky turns gray,
and the rain starts to fall to the ground
I will not frown, I will not fret
because Your glory shines through it all.
