Wrapped in sheets, my mind is buzzing

Craving for the slow dawn coming.

A plague of thoughts inside my head,

Stop me from falling asleep in my bed.



You dance and you smile, giggle and cry

Whilst I twist and turn in the bed that I lie.

Sleep cannot catch me, my eyes are bold

Staring into the darkness, with no-one to hold.



Love that is light as the clouds in the sky,

So easy to wither and shiver and die.

Love that is strong and concrete as stone,

Will flourish forever, and never alone.
