a poem about those that need prayers |
to all those that have not enough have less than they need have truly not the necesities my heart goes out to all those that have pain and loss in their lives for things i take for granted every day my heart goes out to those without someone to love to those missing a parent or spouse or worse yet a child those that wish they could say one last thing my heart goes out to those setting up their tree wondering how they'll do it all food for the meal and gifts for the ones they love minds racing all the time my heart goes out to those hurting for health wondering when they'll feel ok again wishing for cures and hoping for futures missing their energy and happy my heart goes out to those in countries torn apart by war or famine leaders who dictate and make evil choices hunger and death homelessness and sadness uneducated and hopeless my heart goes out I wander through life in a bubble of ignorance to all life's hurts the pains others are going through the hurts of day to day life when i complain of a missed parking spot or a late alarm clocks or a commute that gets on my nerves of a stain on my favorite shirt while others fight for life for peace of mind just for a second for a bit of happiness or an ounce of content I am selfish and un-understanding I represent a mass population in this world we call home where we are 'entitled' to the things we desire while others suffer and hurt and hope i don't donate because i barely make ends meet but the least i can give of myself is the realization of my haves in a world of have - nots. pray for those give them your heart if it's all you can give if you have more you are 'entitled' to give more because those that have not, give not and those that have, should give all they've got |
