Finding something unique at the Holiday Gift Boutique. |
‘Tis the season for buying and therefore my spouse urged me to attend the Gift Boutique. We left the house where I had left my moan, where my feet had dug in due to recalcitrance and an inverted grin. But the Holiday Gift Boutique blew me away as I found something very unique. On that day I had butterflies flit, and I scarcely could talk when I happened upon an Anton Cuckoo Clock. Anton Schneider is famous for his cuckoo clocks; it is surely what collectors seek. Cuckoo clock stocks would increase mightily, with this Cadillac of timepiece craftsmanship which is a labor of love. So I seized this rare find (using kid gloves, of course), feeling wealthy as a Saudi Sheikh. For the source of wealth comes from inside, and my face was aglow as apace I departed when most times I’m slow. (My wife grabbed my right sleeve to diminish my pace and I noticed her head was oblique. It was a case of her reining me in, for her one arm was free to admonish the kid who was inside of me.) On the drive back to Macon, my grin reached my ears and I heard Sue Ann talk a blue streak. Over the years I have listened, all right, and I know glibness flows yet to me it’s a garden and richness is rose. (Even though she had gifts of her own from the sale, I could tell by the way she would speak. There was no veil to hide her happiness, for there are songs and sighs from the one with a heart able to empathize.) When we got to our home and I went to my den, I was taken that it was quite bleak. However, then with a lump in my throat and a tingling spine I unboxed my new clock and enhancement was mine. 32 Lines Writer’s Cramp December 8, 2013 |
