There are a few of us that do what we must because of what has happened to us. |
-A Survival Life- by Keaton Foster Knuckles bare Lonesome Without care Many will say Justice spared Naked and aware Knowing something Well understanding less Worthless is the feeling Most associated with Wishing more While guaranteeing nothing Standard is not the protocol They do what must be done Regret is always further away God above is quite angry He won’t forget this Each and every one of us Created in his image Off track a handful went Distorted representations Of what life intended Unforgivable heathens Further burying themselves To any depth they will go Escaping the status quo They cannot be normal Because they have no idea No rationale concept Defunct is their construct Even if they were shown They would refuse the program They would rebel against What is seen as good for them They know better Experience has taught them much More than any good book Could ever hope to offer More than any pristine utopia Could lay at their weary feet They just don’t believe And they never will be able Broken and in shambles They are only present To remind others what humans Can do and become If they are forced in terrible ways They are a conditioned response The place that they call home Did not come easy for them Back when they still had hope They scream out for help No one heard them How many times could Anyone be expected to suffer Because they acted in a way That ensured their survival They have always lived A survival life… A Survival Life Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2013 |
