My friends call it one of my Toxic Dr. Silverstein poems. |
You think I don't know you but I swear that I do You are crazier than me and you know that it's true You try to hide it but you do not succeed I know cause I'm a peeper and I have seen You had panties on your head and a shirt for a skirt And where you had those heels really had to hurt Oh don't you know a hat goes on your head And why did you have place settings placed on your bed I saw ice cream in your oven and butter stacked on your floor And the way your couch was upside down I'd never seen before You had your pillow and your blanket made up on the table And out of all those canned goods shouldn't one of them have a label You had paint upon your floors and carpet on your walls And still I can not understand the grass growing in your halls And why oh why no don't tell me why your cat was hanginh up there Or even why God forbid your dog was wearing ladies underwear Those fish were swimming round and round right there in your toilet And those last chapters ripped out of your books.. why? Didn't want to spoil it I watched you walk around in a parka in mid summer And bikinis in the winter? Frost bite there would be a bummer So now what was it you were saying about me again Not like it really matters cause you're the crazy one my friend |
