What could be more painful than a love unrequited?

Shall I tell you a secret?  A story that will shake your very root.
Shall I tell you a secret? A tale that will stop your breath.
Shall I tell you a secret? Shall I tell you now?

What if you withdraw in anger? What if your eyes widen?
What if your eyebrows knit? What if you shrug and shake your head?

Shall I tell you a secret? The force of which will frighten you.
Shall I tell you a secret? An admission that will blow you away
Shall I tell you a secret?

Will you step back in shock? Will you stare in silence?
Will you recoil? Will you stammer?

Shall I tell you a secret? A truth that will leave you numb.
Shall I tell you a secret? The story of a love that will startle you.
Shall I tell you a secret?

That my every dawn dawns with a sideways glance, that my every storm storms when you heave a sigh.
That my every rain rains to kiss your shoulder, that even breeze breezes just to ruffle your hair.

That every thorn in my world was once a tear from your eye.
That your every wish becomes a star in my sky.

.

Shall I tell you a secret? Of an insanity that will perhaps touch your heart.
Shall I tell you a secret? Of a devotion that will maybe make you think.
Shall I tell you a secret? Of an unwavering adoration, of a confession that will maybe flatter.

That you are the deepest depth, the root of my root.
That you are my highest skies, my tallest trees.
That you are the beginning and the end and all in between.

Will you give in to my plea? And with resignation listen to me?
Will you just for one moment falter?
Will you let the magic wash over you? Will you wonder if it were true?

Shall I tell you a secret? The story of a surrender.

That a nod is all I need.
That a glimpse is all it takes.
That the wind of your breath, that the sun of a smile, that the brush of an eyelash hair will suffice.

Will the winds stop blowing? Will the sky come crashing?
Will all the leaves fall? Will the waves stop trashing?
What if time freezes? What if doom descends?

Shall I tell you a secret?
Will you clutch your chest in alarm? Will you stagger under its weight?
Shall I tell you a secret? Shall I tell you now?
