Oh Chanukah…

Our candles share Thy Glory for eight nights,
(a gleaming tribute to the One we praise)
Reminding us of long-enduring fights;
Compelling us to visit bygone days.
Our tightly knit beliefs forged long ago,
To honor Thee and live a righteous life -
Bring humbleness and faith within Thy Glow;
They help us through despondent times of strife.
With prayer, we give all glory to Thy Name,
Whose wisdom knows no bounds for mercy’s sake;
Our lives are lit by Thy Eternal Flame -
And thus, we light our candles in Thy wake.

The stillness of the night bursts forth in song;
With prayers of hope - Mankind might get along…
