How do YOU experience Writers Cramp? Write about it. |
I wanted to write a book about exercise: I ran, I walked, I jogged, I swam; I cramped! I limped, I tripped, I stumbled, and nearly drowned. I wanted to submit an article on cleaning: I scrubbed, I mopped, I disinfected; I cramped! I bleached my favorite dark shirt and choked on cleaning fumes. I wanted to post the most movie reviews possible in a week: I viewed, I laughed, I cried, I felt cinematographic emotion; I cramped! I ran out of Visine, I got vision headaches, and I nearly went blind. I wanted to publish my handwritten memoirs: I jotted, I inked, I penciled, I scribbled and scribed; I cramped! I massaged, I heated, I flexed, and I waited for the feeling to pass. I decided to type a fiction book at my own leisure: I sat, I pondered, I typed vignettes, I rested, I spoke with my muse, I waited for my muse to respond, I procrastinated; ....no cramps. I still type to this day and earnestly I say: Fiction is the only way. --------------------- Line count: 20 --- "Invalid Post" --- PROMPT: Merriam-Webster dictionary defines writer's cramp as "pain in your hand or fingers that you get when you have been writing with a pen or pencil for a long time." Sometimes I feel my writer's cramp is more in my brain!*Laugh* Write about your version of writer's cramp! Have fun! |
