Best within

A creature so deadly
so overwhelmingly vile
it takes another demon
to seatle it's nightly trials

Teeth like dagers piece the skin
blood seeping from the veins
that cage the beast within

Another night another fight
with death it seems to be
though the monster lives within
it is frightingly plain to see

Thrashing about in thoughts so sour
testing my strengths at each turn
this beast believes it can have a turn.
