A short poem about the intellectual thoughts of being over weight.
My weight is inconsistent.

But, I love to eat.

These pounds are killing me, I’m sure of it.

They drive me closer to death.

But, you know what they say,

Death is a promise.

This promise is just around the corner, I can feel it.

Sometimes I sit and wonder,

Could I have prevented this?

Could I ever be happy?

Could I ever be healthy?

Could I ever be skinny?

This is changing my whole life.

But, I can’t complain.

I have ruined me
