Thank you son |
| Dear Son The wee early hours that you were born, I watched your father shed tears of joy. When they placed you in the basinette your eyes blinked and you looked right at me; as if you knew exactly who I was at that very moment. I knew then that you were already wiser than I. You were born an old soul; this is without a doubt. As a mom I always felt it was my duty to teach you right from wrong. To have expectations to make sure you spread your wings. This is what mothers do. Little did I know that it was you who was teaching me and inspiring me to be the best that I could be. Through child hood laughs and disasters you have given me the strength like no other. You taught me about patience, and unconditional love. I always knew these things were paramount to guide you through life, never did I expect it on such a great scale. You are so wise by nature that sometimes I wonder where you came from. You have been through things in life at such a young age; that most would not endure in a life time. The strength that you have and give is nothing that could be taught by me or anyone else. You don't give up easily on anything you feel is necessary. Your path in life is different than most and you have inspired me to believe in the impossible. The courage you have is beyond what others would see fit. My life as your mother could never have been explained to me in a sense that I would have ever understood. Being a young man as you are now, you still shock me with your knowledge on life. One day when you are on your own, you will conquer anything in your path because you already know defeat. You have shown me how to stand up for myself, to believe in myself, to love with no conditions. Your trials in life have taken me on a journey I would have never have thought I could get through. I do not say these things because you are my son. You truly have taught me lessons I would never have learned without you. So when I say I am proud of you, I want to add thank you. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, kindness, patience, and courage. You are a great teacher of many things. The most valued things in life. Love Mom word count (424) |
