On a scorching summer day, I feel most comfortable when I lie under a soothing cloak of shade. The woosh of gentle breeze, the buzz of a bumblebee and the cry of a seagull as it spots some leftover bread create an orchestra that only nature can portray. The caress of soft grass under my hands relieves the stress from a long day of hard work. As I lay there, the vibrant tulips seem to shine indefinitely to the never-ending glow of the sun. As they dance in the wind, a few dragonflies flutter around them to join in the celebrate of serenity. In the distance, the calm chatter of the trees accompanies me as I relax on this lazy afternoon. By closing my eyes, the sweet smell of pine trees brings back treasured memories of past summers where I had more freedom than I do now. While I dwell on my past and try to capture the life I had before, time slows down. I can no longer hear the birds. I am exactly where I want to be. The center of the world. Soon, before I realize, my mind drifts off to the world of dreams.
