Pain

yes pain hurts. It lies and twists minds to believe there is no hope. It causes distress, and sometimes forces one to give up. Pain seems anti-spiritual, as if it takes away the spirit itself. This belief all depends on the one who holds it. Yes pain may lie, destroy, and take away from life; however it can also be a tool. It can motivate one to change and grow. It can rebuild a life, or give light to a new purpose. Pain can be an enemy at times, but it can also be a friend. With out pain happiness and peace wouldn't feel so great. There would be no beauty in life. The world would be monotonous and bleak. I'm grateful for pain because it has taught me a new way to view life, and has given me a reason to keep growing. Pain has produced peace, beauty, hope, and wonder. I'm grateful for the gift of pain.
