Open prompt romance poem. Entry for Touch of Romance (Round 5) & I Write (Week 6).

Our earliest days were full of dances,
We overflowed with laughter, love, and light.
Then those feelings became intense romances,
Our irresistible love grew hot and bright.
And yet I fear I may be out of chances,
My pride unwilling to concede the fight.
Sitting here alone with the curtains drawn,
I think of you, but you're already gone.

Now I'm left to woefully reminisce,
And cry whenever I hear a sad love song.
I've been set adrift, to wander amiss,
Wishing for relief to hurry along.
I've lost any and all chance at finding bliss,
Because I'm too stubborn to admit I'm wrong.
My heart is broken and my world is black,
I think of you, but you're not coming back.
