Theories abound about a missing airplane
even though pings as of late have been heard.
Malaysian three seven zero went missing,
without so much as an ACARS* or word.

O how I feel for the family members;
reality melted most of their hope.
Still they hold vigils and comfort each other,
since deliquescence does not help one cope.

Yet on the Internet fractious and sordid,
(it peeves me when rumor bandies amok),
you can find numerous outrageous stories,
so much so they can provoke, “What the fuck!”

Of course we live in an Internet era,
and information flows like waterfall.
But with such rot in a state of tumescence,
I’ll shut the Windows and go to the mall.

Some say it flew to Diego Garcia,
others assert UFO, (what is new!)
“It was diversion,” created by China
to skew attention, cut wary in two.

Mass speculation will always run riot,
Imagination illuming will be.
Reason and evidence second class seating--
that’s the quintessence of humanity.
