New Light: prologue (before)

        Isabel looked at Saul for a moment and in a part of her mind she knew that she was going into shock. She waited for the moment when she would breakdown and lose all touch with reality. Isabel knew that it was only a matter of time, and it was the only logical thing left for her to do. After all, she had just watched her life come to an end. And in that moment she knew how Lans must have felt as he had been racing through the air because, just like him, Isabel knew that she was dead and all she was waiting for now was for the ground to hit her.
