Charon has come to take me across the River Styx.

Charon
Singing
His silent song
Whistling Dixie
Across the river Styx
Hades unabashed
Ferrier of passengers
Bringing the deceased
To the feet of doom
Across the lake of division
Between living and death
With a coin in my mouth
And another in my gut
I’m well aware
Certainly do I understand
That if I am ripped from limb
Any payment will remain within
I will not be denied
Each detailed planned wide
Each possible troubled removed
I will make my way across
The darkest waters possible
I’ve learned all of my lessons
Wickedness comes full circle
Some, those few there
Closer to the shore
Are the wanderers
Not quite alive
Only slightly disposed
I don’t know them
Nor would I ever want to
Such cruelness, justified
Righteousness enshrined
I deserve to be right here
And simply put they do not
What will I see
What will it all be
On the other side of the shore
Out there where things can’t be seen
Charon will bring me to my doom
Across the river Styx
All that he requires is a coin
And on my being I have two
Just in case the payment of one
Somehow falls through…
