CHAPTER 8
ELEMENTALS

PROVIDENCE HEADQUARTERS

The Chief of Operations of Providence’s East Branch, Keith Barry is working on some paperwork on his desk when suddenly there was a knock on his door. He makes a short statement “Come in” without taking his eyes off his work

Vivian enters the room holding some files in front of her and approaches Keith.

“I need to talk to you boss, hope I’m not interrupting” Vivian said as she is standing in front of Keith. She takes a glance at Keith’s papers on the table and sees the picture of a black haired woman

Keith puts a paperweight on his stack of papers which covered the woman’s face. “I’m sick and tired of all these dead end leads anyway. So what can I do for you?”

“Yes well it’s about the Golden Express incident the other day. I got a sketch artist to get the description of the “mechanical man” from the kids” Vivian said with an uncomfortable expression.

Yuki, Kaito and Amber’s description about a mechanical man riding the robot that attacked them was farfetched, but Vivian got a sketch artist anyway since they were the only witnesses and Kaito is a member of Providence as well so that should give some credit.

“So you know this man?” Keith looked at the drawing of the man who called himself Gamma. The drawing got his features right if not perfectly.

“Surprisingly yes, Gerard Cust a member of Black Cross one of the MAFIA organizations” Vivian said

“Black Cross? Wasn’t this already been proven to be Cluster Tech’s work?” Keith said as he remembers the virus that took control of all the Golden Express trains.

“Cust supposedly died in an explosion so maybe Cluster Tech replaced half his body with metal. Besides Cluster Tech shares the ideals of Black Cross” Vivian said

“The evolution of the human race huh” Keith said almost dismissingly like he finds the idea hard to believe.

“Yes and that’s not the only thing I came to talk to you about” Vivian said

“Really did you find out more about the virus that Kaito and those kids mentioned?” Keith said

“Are you kidding, with equipment like ours? Alex is the only guy here who can actually do that and even he’s stomped” Vivian said. She takes note of Alex’s nanite ability to analyze data and even to create small weaponry for combat.

“I’m talking about that kid, Cher’s brother Yuki Mancio” Vivian said

“Yeah what about him?” Keith asked as he looks at Vivian

“Because of a strange curiosity I did some digging and it turns out he was involved with not two but four incidents” Vivian said surprisingly

“What are you talking about, that’s impossible” Keith said in a dumbfounded expression

“I’m telling you, the kid is hiding something and Cher and Alex are helping him” Vivian said as she puts a file with Yuki’s picture on the table

Keith stares at the picture and gets a completely shocked expression “This is…”

“What’s up chief?” Vivian asked as she looks at the chief’s non changing expression

“This is Cher’s brother Yuki? I see” Keith said as he regains his composure. “You said four incidents? Investigation on a person that is not a suspect in a crime is illegal Viv” Keith said

“Not if he’s a person of interest, cause other than the school and the Golden Express, There was also an apartment fire which and a road accident which Yuki was involved in that Alex and Cher conveniently left out in their reports.”

Vivian recalls talking to witnesses about a boy with Yuki’s description saving Alex, Lily and some firemen with the Kerosene tank in the apartment fire and another child from being run over by a truck

“Who is this boy?” Keith asked

“Didn’t you act like you know him chief?” Vivian asked with confusion

“I made a mistake; anyway ok I make this legal. But whatever else you find, I want you to do so discreetly and tell me and only me.” Keith said seriously

“Yes chief” Vivian said as she walks away outside the office

Keith ponders on a few things that have been bothering him. He pauses to take a deep breath and finally said “Cher what have you been up to?”

NEXT SCENE
DUVALL UNIVERSITY

Outside the university, Yuki gets out of the car with his bag.

Cher is about to drive away when she stops and calls out to Yuki “Hey Yuki maybe I should stick around today, wouldn’t want a repeat of what happened last time”

“Sis you don’t have to do that. This new school has a reputation for its safety” Yuki said with an awkward expression.

Yuki and Cher are referring to what happened in the past where Magician Pentagram members attacked Yuki’s previous school during orientation day in an attempt to capture him. The old school was almost destroyed so all its students transferred somewhere else.

“I’m not taking any chances, I’ll stick around here” Cher said

Yuki blushes as their conversation is heard by the passing students and starts staring at them “Sis please Kaito and Amber are with me besides how about work?”

Suddenly police cars swoop past the other side of the road with sirens blazing

“Yeah who could forget” Cher said as she pats her palm on her head

“What could have happened?” Yuki asked

“They said someone was murdered that way” Amber’s voice interrupted the conversation as Yuki and Cher looked her way to see Amber walking from the other direction

“A murder?” Cher asked

“Yeah, they said some girl was killed in some alley” Amber said she then looks at Cher and said “You should probably go see. They said the killer might be a power user”

“The correct term is “Elemental”. That’s what the government use anyway” Kaito’s voice is heard from behind Amber as the three focuses on his arrival

“Really? I originally thought its power user” Yuki asked

Cher referred to people given powers by Abayant X as simply power users to Yuki when she and Alex explained the situation to him when he first arrived at the city.

“Power user is easier to understand. I mean what’s an Elemental anyway” Cher said poutingly. She then looks at Yuki “Ok I should go. Take care”

Yuki waves goodbye as Yuki faces Amber and Kaito “Diviner?”
“Yeah but if you ask me, they just want it to sound cooler” Kaito whispers and laughs.

“Ok time to get to our new school” Amber faces the giant university building which is double the size of the old school she and Yuki attended for orientation and more secure as it supposedly claims yet other than size there don’t appear to be any difference.

NEXT SCENE
ALLEY NEARBY

The scene is full of officers and police do not cross lines. You know the basic stuff

Cher walks past the barricade showing her badge to every person that tries to stop herand eventually gets pointed at a blue haired guy who looks like a police detective superior questioning a boy with orange hair color and glasses. The boy looks like a student

“Oh no not again.” Cher expects the worst. She recalls that Magician Pentagram’s original plan of attack back at Yuki’s orientation was infiltrating the school by impersonating a student and the orange haired student appears to also be from Duvall University

“Wait time out” Cher says as she interrupts the police detective’s questioning of the student. The student and the detective stares at her with surprise

“The victim, is she a student from Duvall University too? And was this her first day of school?” Cher asked with one hand on her pocket. She prepares to grab her phone to call Yuki to warn him.

“Huh? No Michelle was an entering junior today and so am I. The whole university knows her” The student said

“Oh I see” Cher breathes a sigh of relief and thinks to herself “Even they are not dumb enough to use the same trick twice I suppose”

“And you are?” The police detective asked with slight confusion

“Cherise Mancio, Providence Member” Cher showed her badge and introduced herself

“I see, you people. What’s with the sudden questions?” The detective said

“It’s a possible MO for a group of terrorists on our list” Cher said

“Which is?” The detective asked

“Could you go over your story again?” Cher asked the student in front of her as she pretended not to have heard the detective

The student began retelling his story “While I was walking past the alley I saw a flash of light, and when I entered I saw someone in a purple hood, blue pants and red shoes running away.” The orange haired boy said

“That was around 6:30?” the detective asked

“Yes, that’s about right.” The student said

“What’s the description of this person that you saw?” Cher asked

“Well that person was wearing a purple jacket with a hood, blue pants and red shoes. I never got to see his face because he has a hood over.” The student said

“But you said you knew the victim, were you two walking together or something?” Cher asked

“No, I was curious so I went in the alley and I just happened to recognize Michelle” The student said

“I see, thank you for your cooperation” Cher said as the student leaves

“Did you write any of that down?” the detective asked

“No worries I got it all right here” Cher said as she points to her forehead. “Now if you’d excuse me” Cher said as she proceeds to where she came from

“You’re not even gonna take a look at the body?” The detective asked

“Of-course I will, isn’t it that way?” Cher asked

“No it’s still in the scene, that way where the other officers are taking pictures?” The detective pointed the other direction

“Hey tell me” the police detective gets a word in. “Do you Providence people always work like this?”

“Of course not, we are professionals” Cher boasted

Cher was only interested in the crime scene because she thought it was connected to Magician’s Pentagram and a second attempt on Yuki but as soon as the MO didn’t fit, only leaving entered her mind. But now that she is already in the crime scene, she supposes that she might as well do her job

“Well alright. This way” the police detective said as he leads Cher to the crime scene

inside the alley the police tape has a shape of a person on the ground with its hands on its sides. The wall next to the police tape is cracked and a hole is in the center as if something strong hit it.

“So it really was the work of a power user?” Cher asks

“Elemental is the term” The detective said

“Still lame” Cher thinks

an officer then opens the body bag upon the detective’s instruction to show the teenage girl’s corpse. The dead body’s pink hair is a mess. It clearly showed to have lost color as if she has been totally dehydrated. Her face is as stiff as a manikin, her skin is ghostly pale and her face has small burn splinters

“Cause of death?” Cher looks really bothered by the scene; she originally thought the girl was a victim of torture but waves off the thought when she looks at the corpse again

“Taking into account the light the witness saw Electrocution probably” The detective said

“So we are dealing with a powerful fire class elemental with a lightning sub class” Cher concludes

“Either that or someone with a really big stun gun” the detective said in an almost joking manner

“Our first suspect should be that guy in the red hood” Cher said

“Its purple hood” The detective corrects her

“Yeah whatever just let my department handle that guy in the hood” Cher said with an embarrassed face

“So you’re taking our case?” The detective said with a slightly bitter expression

“Normally yes cause the suspect is an elemental but then again it would take 10 minutes for my squad to get here so I would be “appalled” if the corpse suddenly disappear before they show up” Cher smiled and winks at the detective

The detective catches her drift and nods appreciatively

Cher then walks away while pondering on the whole thing. A fire class elemental with lightning, she knows of only a few people with ability similar to that, herself a fire class with the secondary ability of force, as she can give herself super strength or charge objects up as weapons. The other person that comes to mind is Yuki, a water class elemental but Yuki is a special case because he originally started with ice powers and was never able to create water. Normally elementals start out with fire, water, wind, and or earth abilities.

They then gain secondary abilities, never secondary abilities on the spot. Yet Yuki takes it to a whole new level with his future vision, an ability never before seen in anyone (that she knows of anyway).


Duvall University
9:00 am

NOTE: Duvall university campus is divided into multiple tall buildings ranging from 3 storey to 5 storeys in height. All buildings serve as classrooms for students depending on the subject they are taking and the specialty of the building. For example in Yuki and friends case, their computer subjects (which are their major) are in one building while other subjects like philosophy, law, and business are in others.

Inside a classroom of a three storey building, students are sitting down on the armchairs as class is about to start. Yuki, Amber, and Kaito also enter

“Whew we just made it.” Kaito said as he sits down

“Yeah would have been a bad impression if we were late. These classrooms are all confusing” Amber said

Yuki also sits down on a chair and puts his bag on the floor. He breathes a sigh of relief “Finally some peace”

Suddenly a piece of paper lands next to Yuki’s feet. Yuki picks it up to see it’s a class schedule with the name Nina Parker and different subjects with time and room schedules.

Yuki looks around him to see a female student taking out some books from her bag. She has long pink hair with hazel eyes, a yellow shirt and blue knee high skirt and black shoes. She looks gloomy and out of the weather. The schedule fell from her bag as she was taking out her books

Yuki walks to her and hands the class schedule he picked up. “Excuse me, you might have dropped this.” Yuki said as he smiles and then extends his hand to give the class schedule back

“Oh really?” The girl looks at the schedule in Yuki’s hand. She takes a short look at the schedule and said “Oh yes this is mine.” The girl said still seeming distant

The girl then grabs the class schedule, at the same time touching Yuki’s hand.

“Hello there, my name is Yuki Mancio. Nice to meet you” Yuki said with a smile

“Oh my name is Nina Parker.” The girl said as suddenly smiles

The female teacher has entered the room. She is a young woman with brown hair and glasses wearing a skirt and a buttoned shirt

“Let’s talk again later ok.” Yuki said

“Yes” Nina said

Yuki then sits down back to his chair from with Amber and Kaito in front of him

“It looks like the girl likes you, Yuki.” Kaito said

“Not really” Yuki said as he looks at Kaito while blushing

“She’s a beauty isn’t she?” Amber said

Yuki smiles but still blushing

10:05 AM
SAME CLASSROOM

Class just ended and there is a 10 min break before the next one starts

“That class was sooo boring. Don’t you think so Yuki?” Amber said while trying to stop yawning

“It’s not bad, if you can call the course overview a class” Yuki smiles

Nina approaches Yuki’s seat and Yuki just heard her voice

“Hey there Yuki” Nina said

Yuki looks above him to see Nina. “Hi Nina how are you?” Yuki smiles

“Good, How about you?” Nina said as she touches Yuki’s hand

“Ah” Yuki blushes

Kaito and Amber is shocked.
“What’s with this girl?” Kaito asked with jealousy

“I-I’m good” Yuki tries to think of something to say “What did you think of class”

“Good I guess” Nina looked bored with the question “Yuki what are you doing later after class? How would you like to go out with me?” Nina said with a happy expression

“WHAT? Really?” Kaito asked in a loud voice with Amber thrilled

“Y-you mean a d-d-date?” Yuki said while blushing heavily with Nina still touching his hands

“Yes exactly. We can go to a coffee shop, watch the sunset at the park then have diner” Nina said

“I-I don’t know, let me t-think about it.” Yuki said then suddenly he feels a sensation like a vision is popping out.
Yuki sees Nina lying dead on the ground. Blood is pouring from her chest as she appeared to have been stabbed and her eyes are wide open. The clouds on the scenery are yellowish and the place looks like a park. People are also running and screams are heard all over.

Yuki looks blank as he hears Nina’s voice. “Hey is anybody home?” Nina waves her hand next to Yuki’s eyes. “Ok then, you can tell me your reply after next period” Nina said as she lets go of Yuki’s hands. “

“Um Nina” Yuki stops Nina. “Yes I’d love to go with you.” Yuki said with a serious expression

“Really? That sounds great.” Nina said as she walks away happily
“Why did you suddenly change your mind Yuki?” Amber asked

“That serious expression on your face, Yuki did you see something again?” Kaito asks seriously

Yuki stays silent and then proceeds to ask a request with a serious face. I need your help guys

2:00 PM
OUTSIDE THE UNIVERSITY
Yuki’s class ended early because of college schedule. In this university you only attend what classes you need to regardless of time and depending on subject. So classes can end early or late in some days

Yuki and Nina are walking side by side both are still carrying their bags. Nina grabbed Yuki’s hand which causes him to blush

Behind them Kaito and Amber are following. They are acting like stalkers while also carrying their bags and both have serious expressions
“Don’t you feel like we are being followed Yuki?” Nina asked
“N-no of course not” Yuki said with guilt on his face as he gaze behind them

FLASHBACK CLASSROOM

“That girl is going to die?” Amber said. She tries to whisper but there is still slight loudness in her voice

“Shhh, we can’t cause a panic here” Kaito whispers

“One of your visions?” Amber said as she lowers her voice

“Yes, I’m afraid. Stabbed in the chest, the place looks like some kind of park and the clouds look like sunset.” Yuki said with worry

“It has to be sunset and the park she mentioned in the date?” Amber said

“Yes, it has to be” Yuki said

“Then why did you accept the date? I mean we know she’s going to die in the park, so not agreeing to this date would save her life.” Amber said with frustration

“Because she mentioned it too remember? She said she watches the sunset in the park everyday.” Kaito said

“Oh yeah so even if Yuki declined the date, she’d still be there, alone.” Amber said as she thinks it over

“That’s right, with us with her, we can stop her killer.” Kaito said then he looks at Yuki “so that’s why your color changed, it’s not like you to be that confident in answering.”

“Y-yes” Yuki said
“But wouldn’t this be cutting it too close? We might fail” Amber said
“Lets say we avoid this entire situation, her killer would simply try again tomorrow or the day after. Catching him in the act is the best thing we could do for Nina” Kaito said as he whispers again

BACK TO PRESENT

Kaito gets a cell phone call so he answers it. “Yeah what’s up?”

The person who picked up is Cher “Are you guys with Yuki? He’s not answering his phone” Cher said as she is waiting on her car
Yuki and everyone else decided to walk out another exit that is not on the exit Cher said she will be waiting. Yuki apparently wanted to avoid seeing Cher so their plan would not be stopped.
“Oh yeah about that” Kaito said. Apparently he forgot to tell Cher the plan they made.
“You did what?” Cher said as she screams over the phone. Kaito has just finished explaining the plan and Cher’s voice was loud enough to bust an eardrum
“That was the best course of action we decided to take” Kaito said as he rubs his ears
Amber takes the phone from Kaito and talks to Cher “It was Yuki’s idea, besides the vision does not happen till sunset so we’re safe”
“That’s not what I meant” Cher said still angry
“Cher please, Yuki wants to save this girl no matter what besides this girl asked him on a date” Amber said
“Really?” Cher sounded happy then she changed the sound of her voice to agreeing grudgingly “I mean alright, if it’s to save a life”
“I knew you’d see it our way. We’re following them now, we’ll tell you our progress” Amber said
Then Kaito borrows the phone from Amber “In the meantime how about checking some stuff for us?”

Meanwhile Yuki and Nina are still walking on the street. They pass by a building

“Hey Yuki, this place has an indoor pool. Let’s go in.” Nina said as she pulls Yuki’s arm

“WHAT?” Yuki looks frazzled as he tries to resist the pull

“Huh? What’s wrong? You can’t swim?” Nina asks with confusion

“N-no it’s not that.” Yuki said while blushing

“Then let’s go in.” Nina pulls Yuki inside by the arm even harder

“No wait.” Yuki tries to resist but to no avail

Back to Kaito and Amber

“They are going to the pool? That’s not part of the plan?” Amber said looking slightly worried

“No choice lets just go with it.” Kaito said as he points inside with his thumb and the two follow

Indoor Swimming Pool
2:25 PM

Nina is in her bathing suit running to the pool while Yuki is wearing his blue sleeveless shirt and swim trunks.

“Huh? Why do you still have your shirt on?” Nina asked as she looks at Yuki

“Its alright I’ll I’ll just watch you.” Yuki said as he tightens his grip on his shirt

“Huh? Oh I see you’re embarrassed with taking your shirt off.” Nina said teasingly

“Ah well it’s um…kind of” Yuki blushes

“It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, I’m sure you have a nice body.” Nina said

Yuki swallows his breath as he’s still blushing

“Here let me help you.” Nina smiles and then comes closer to Yuki and begins pulling his shirt up
Yuki has only taken his shirt off in front of four people that he knows of at least, his mother and sister and that still took many times of urging till Yuki eventually gave in. And Alex who stripped him shirtless and tied him up to get examined after his injury by a nurse

Back to Kaito and Amber

Kaito and Amber are both next to a corner. They are both wearing their full clothes and hiding in a corner away from view

“Huh? What are they doing?” Amber said as she notices Yuki blushing with Nina smiling and trying to pull up his shirt

“That kid’s probably embarrassed in front of people.” Kaito said

“Embarrassed?” Amber giggles

Back to Yuki and Nina

“N-no I’m ok with not swimming.” Yuki is panicking as he struggles to pull his shirt down

Nina whispers to Yuki’s ear “You’re a man right? It’s ok no one will mind.”

“Huh? A-alright” Yuki finally complies but he is still shaking and taking a deep breath as Nina slowly pulls his shirt up his head

Yuki is shirtless now but he’s still blushing and covering himself with his hands

“See was that so hard? And look you DO have a nice build” Nina giggles as she looks at Yuki’s upper body. She then grabs Yuki’s arm and pulls him to the pool.

“Y-yes” Yuki starts calming down but he’s still breathing heavily

Back to Kaito and Amber

“He’s so cute when he blushes.” Amber said then she looks at Kaito and gets confused

Kaito is shaking with jealousy. Kaito thinks to himself “That kid is sooo lucky.”
Then Kaito suddenly sees a green haired boy wearing a purple jacket with a hood, blue pants and red shoes also watching Yuki and Nina from another corner

Kaito looks at the person suspiciously

NEXT SCENE
Hanzel’s Coffee Shop
4:30 PM

Yuki and Nina are on a table drinking blended coffee. They also have chocolate cake on the table

“Two hours in the pool, you must really be tired Yuki.” Nina said

“Not too much” Yuki said as he’s blushing, yet he feels his feet are aching and his arms are sore

“But I hope you’re good and hungry for diner later. This is only a snack” Nina said as she laughs

“Y-yes but I don’t think cold coffee is good for an empty stomach.” Yuki said

“We have cake too you know” Nina said while blushing.
Nina then spoons a piece of cake, she is about to eat it when she looks at Yuki “Hey Yuki, say Ahh” Nina said as she put a piece of cake on the spoon and moves it to Yuki’s mouth
Yuki’s heartbeat goes faster. “D-do we have to do that?”
“Come on this is a date” Nina said sheepishly
“O-ok” Yuki closes his eyes and opens his mouth. Nina puts the spoon with the cake in Yuki’s mouth. Yuki starts chewing, barely able to swallow because of the pressure he is feeling. Then right after Nina kisses him on the lips.

“WAHH” Yuki is frazzled and chokes, he repeatedly pounds on his chest

“Oh I’m sorry.” Nina smiles and holds a glass of water for Yuki to drink

“I-its ok” Yuki clasps his hands together with shyness.

Amber and Kaito are sitting on a few tables behind them, also drinking cold coffee. Amber is eagerly watching the date as Kaito is talking on his cellphone
“You really think the case in the alley has something to do with this one?” Kaito asked
“You mentioned seeing a guy with the purple hood right? That’s the same description our witness gave besides didn’t you say this Nina girl has pink hair?” Cher asks
“So that’s our serial stalker. But something doesn’t add up” Kaito asks
“What?” Cher asks
“The victim was just murdered this morning and Nina was already with us in our class so doesn’t the timeline fast for this stalker?” Kaito asks
“Guys like him probably already had prospects in line” Cher said
“You’re right; it’s still an hour away before sunset so we should still be safe. We’ll just deal with that guy in the hood if we see him again.” Kaito said as he is about to hang up the phone
“Wait” Cher said which stopped Kaito
“What?” Kaito asks in surprise
“Is Yuki doing well?” Cher asks with concern in her voice
Kaito takes a peak at Yuki and Nina who has continued the spoon feeding on Yuki. Yuki is blushing and swallowing over and over with his eyes closed
“Trust me he couldn’t be better” Kaito said with menacing anger and jealousy.
“O-ok I guess, I’ll ask the victim’s boyfriend if he knows something about a stalker thing” Cher said as she hangs up the phone

Back to Yuki and Nina

Yuki then feels his phone vibrating in his pocket. He opens it to see a message from Kaito.

“Dial my number and then ask her if she’s being stalked or any previous dating that didn’t go well” – Kaito

Yuki complies and dials Kaito’s number. He then puts the phone in his pocket.

“Nina I’m really having a great time. Thank you for asking me out.” Yuki said his face starts becoming serious

“Huh? No problem, I really enjoy your company too. You’ve been so sweet.” Nina said which causes Yuki to blush again

“You must really be popular with the boys then.” Yuki asks while smiling

“Huh? On the contrary, this is my first good date in like forever.” Nina said

Yuki gets surprised. Kaito and Amber hear the answer and starts wondering

“Really? Why is that?” Yuki asks

“Well the guys I’ve been to have been jerks, perverts and stuff like that. You’re the first real guy that’s been this nice to me.” Nina said her eyes full of anger

Yuki gets an uncomfortable feeling. “I-I see? Has anyone been um stalking you as a result?”
“Nope I don’t think so” Nina said then she immediately changed the subject and moves behind Yuki

“Hey Yuki, let’s take a picture. I’ll call a waiter.” Nina said.

“O-ok” Yuki said as Nina signals a waiter to come closer

Yuki tries to stand up but Nina stops him “Let’s just do it this way.” Nina said as she stands behind Yuki and puts her hands on his shoulders. The waiter snaps a few pictures with Nina’s phone and then he hands the phone back to Nina.

“Here Yuki take a look.” Nina said as she shows the phone with the picture to Yuki

Yuki looks at the picture and presses the button a few times to look at the pictures. As he presses the buttons, to his surprise he sees another picture with Nina and another man with orange hair.

Yuki out of curiosity quickly used Nina’s phone to send the pic to Kaito’s phone.

Back to Amber and Kaito

Kaito checks his phone and notices that he got a picture message
“Who is this?” Kaito asked
“Maybe a boyfriend?” Amber said as she and Kaito looks at the picture
Kaito’s phone then rings which he then answer.
“Hey did you get the picture Yuki sent?” Cher asks seriously
“Yeah but who’s that guy with Nina?” Kaito asked
“That guy was the witness on that murder in the alley” Cher said seriously
“Really so he knows both girls? Michelle and Nina?” Kaito asked
“Yeah it can’t be a coincidence, I’ll take care of that guy, and you two keep watching Yuki” Cher said
“Ok” Kaito said with Amber also listening

Back to Nina and Yuki

Yuki begins to ask “So is the guy in the picture your boyfriend?”
“Huh?” Nina said as she looks at the picture on her phone “Oh it’s no one important, we already broke off.” Nina said with a smile

“Oh I see” Yuki said

“Let’s go to the park Yuki. We still have to see the sunset.” Nina pulls Yuki in the arm

“O-ok” Yuki smiles and then blushes

Yuki and Nina stand up to leave the restaurant

Back to Kaito and Amber
“Ok that’s our cue to follow” Kaito said

OUTSIDE
Kaito and Amber comes out of the restaurant, they see Yuki and Nina a few meters to the right walking together.

“Alright lets go” Amber said

“Wait” Kaito stops Amber “Look over there”

Amber looks at the direction Kaito pointed at and sees the same green haired teenager wearing a purple jacket, blue pants and red shoes that he saw earlier on the pool. He is following Yuki and Nina in secret the same way Kaito and Amber is. The boy has one hand in his pocket and proceeds to move faster toward Yuki and Nina

“So the guy is back, the thing in his pocket, is that a knife?” Amber looks in shock
“Huh something is off here” Kaito begins to think

“We don’t have time for that, the park is just two blocks from here so lets get him and stop the vision from happening.” Amber said

“HEY YOU” Kaito screams which gets the teenager’s attention. Yuki and Nina are already a few feet away so they didn’t hear the sound and just continues walking

The teenager focuses his attention on Kaito and Amber

“We won’t let you hurt our friends.” Amber charges at the teenager in the hood and proceeds to make a kick straight at the boy’s face

the boy ducks by moving slightly to the right like a professional. The people on the street proceed to run in a panic. Amber continues her attack by making a barrage of punches in which the teenager with the hood dodges.

“Who are you and what do you think you’re doing?” The teenager said in surprise as he keeps dodging Amber’s blows

“You can’t fool us, you were following that pink haired girl and blue haired boy weren’t you?” Amber said as her bracelet begins to glow

“So what if I am?” The teenager said in a calm voice

“So you’re that girl’s stalker and you’re going to kill her are you?” Kaito screamed as he takes out a hilt from his pocket. The hilt grows a blade made of light (like a light saber)

“If I must then, yes I will.” The teenager in the hood said

“Well you’ll have to go past us first.” Kaito said as he tightens his grip on his “light saber” and Amber on her bracelet.

Emerald Park
5:25 PM

Yuki and Nina are walking in the park. Yuki has a tense feeling

“What’s with that face Yuki?” Nina asked as she pulls Yuki’s arm

“Huh? It’s nothing; it’s almost the sunset Nina.” Yuki said, then thinks to himself “this is the place on the vision”

“I can’t wait.” Nina said then she sees a bench in the park “Yuki this is a good place, lets sit here.”

Yuki and Nina sit down and Nina touches Yuki’s hand and smiles at him

Yuki smiles back still having a tense feeling

“Hey Yuki, I like to ask you something.” Nina said with a blushing face

“Y-yes?” Yuki blushes in return

“B-be my boyfriend.” Nina makes a bold confession

“W-W-What?” Yuki blushes

Back to Kaito and Amber and the teenager

Kaito swings his saber but misses as the teenager dodges. The teenager kicks Kaito in the stomach, and then suddenly the force of the kick gets stronger and a gust of wind blows Kaito a few meters away
Kaito tries standing back up and remarks “This guy is a wind elemental”

Amber attacks with her fists, the teenager dodges her punch, goes to her side and grabs the hand Amber just swung and throws her with a judo throw to the ground. “Grr” Amber falls in pain on the ground
The teenager proceeds to run after Yuki and Nina but suddenly Kaito and Amber steps to block his way

“Get out of my way; you two have no idea what you’re doing.” The teenager said angrily

NEXT SCENE

Cher is in an interrogation room questioning the orange haired witness named Dwight who is sitting on a chair with a table in front of him

Cher shows the picture of Dwight and Nina on her camera phone

“Where did you get this?” Dwight asks in surprise

“That’s not important, what’s your relationship with this girl?” Cher said demandingly

“She was my girlfriend.” Dwight hesitates while answering

“The one before Michelle or were you two timing with these two women?” Cher asked with slight sarcasm

“What? No of course not” Dwight said

“Tell me Dwight, you like pink haired girls don’t you?” Cher asked

“Yes I do, they’re my type so what?” Dwight said while blushing

“And let me guess, you don’t like women standing up to you is that it?” Cher asked

“What? What kind of question is that?” Dwight asked in shock

“Two women both pink haired, one is dead and the other is in danger. Both connected to you, know where I’m going with this?” Cher asked
“No I had nothing to do with any of that. Besides if Nina is in danger, then she brought it on herself” Dwight said

“Huh? What are you talking about?” Cher asked

“She has crazy mood swings, she’s gloomy now then she suddenly smiles and angry you name it. One time I was talking to a waitress on our date, the way she was looking at her with those eyes, it’s like she wanted to kill her.” Dwight said with fear in his eyes

“You don’t say, stay here” Cher gets scared, she then runs out the room


Back to Kaito and Amber and the teenager

“Alright, what are we not getting?” Kaito said as he struggles to stand up

“I’m from Providence.” The teenager said

“Like we’ll believe you” Kaito said surprised but immediately doubts it

“I’m telling you the truth.” The teenager said

At that moment, Kaito’s cell phone rings. He picks it up “Yeah? I’m in the middle of something here. Cher”

“This is important, Yuki is in danger. That girl Nina is our killer.” Cher said

“WHAT?” Kaito said while Amber and the teenager look on at Kaito with anticipation

A moment later
Kaito, Amber and the teenager Kim is running toward the park “Nina was a kidnap victim by Magician’s Pentagram. She was subjected to all kinds of experiments which left her mentally ill and traumatized”
“No way” Amber said as she feels bad for Nina
Kaito looks with anger at the statement
“We rescued her and put her in a hospital where she supposedly got treated” The teenager Kim said
“Supposedly?” Kaito asked
“The hospital released her too fast and her mental stability came back” Kim said. Then he continued “I don’t know how or why. It just did”
“How did you get into that alley?” Kaito asked
“I’ve been keeping tabs on her outside Providence’s order, that’s why I’ve been there. Hell I don’t even know how she got into your school” Kim said angrily then he continues
“So Yuki’s date with her?” Amber asked
“Maybe Nina longed for companionship, and when your friend made contact with her, something inside her decided to use him as a support beam” Kim said
“That explains her sudden change of heart” Kaito said. Kaito noticed earlier in the classroom how Nina appeared so gloomy but suddenly changed her reaction when Yuki touched her

“Yeah” The teenager nodded
“All I know is that she has to be stopped. The slightest thing could set her off” Kim said
The group is nearing the park when they suddenly heard a scream
EMERALD PARK

People are screaming everywhere as Nina fires lightning at Yuki. Yuki narrowly dodges. The lightning hits the ground which burns the spot it hit

“Nina, w-what are you doing?” Yuki starts panicking

“I love you, and now you dump me!!” Nina screams while firing another lightning

“I-I never said” Yuki said with a scared expression


At that moment, Kaito’s group comes from behind Yuki

“Yuki” Amber screams

“Huh? Guys thank goodness. Something’s wrong with Nina.” Yuki said with a worried expression

“Yes we know, what did you say to her?” Kaito asked

“Huh? W-well she said she wanted to be my girlfriend. I said this isn’t the right time yet because she’s in danger.” Yuki said then he looks at Kaito, Amber and the teenager and asked. “W-what’s going on?”

“Nina is the stalker and the killer, she murdered that woman in the alley, and she’s mentally ill so get away from her.” The Kim said

Nina sees the Kim and screams at him “YOU, this is ALL YOUR FAULT, you’re the reason I could never get someone to love me” Then suddenly her body becomes engulfed in light. Nina fires another lightning bolt which is bigger than before at the teenager, Kaito and Amber

They all scatter away to dodge the attacks

“You said I can still live a happy life. What’s the point in that if no one loves me HUH? You should never have taken me from that place. I would have been better off” Nina said as she fires another bolt of lightning at Kim which he dodges

“This is bad, she’s escalating if we don’t drop her here many people will die.” Kim said as Yuki, Kaito, and Amber stands beside him

”We have to stop her, what’s the plan?” Kaito asked

“If we can get close to her, I can cuff her with these” Kim took out a pair of handcuffs

“Element Nullification Cuffs?” Kaito said
“Yes, but if we can’t” Kim said worryingly

Kaito and Amber looks at Yuki who shows a sad expression

“We know” Kaito said

Kaito then attacks with his “light saber” but Nina fires another lightning bolt at Kaito. Kaito manages to block with the sword. The bolt still shocked the sword like a lightning rod. Although the electricity was weakened Kaito is still shocked and then blown away.

Kim uses his wind elemental power and propels himself at Nina. With the nullification cuffs in hand he charges at Nina while she was distracted at Kaito’s direction.

But Nina simply waves her hand from left to right and creates a wall of lightning; she then orders the lightning wall to attack Kim.

Kim tries his best to dodge by propelling himself upward, but the lightning rises like a pillar and hits him. He falls to the ground and the bracelet he’s holding shatters to pieces.

Amber throws a bench at Nina but she simply breaks the bench apart with the lightning and fires a bolt at Amber. The bolt hits the ground Amber is standing on and makes a small explosion which knocks out Amber.

“Nina, stop it please.” Yuki said as he tries to plead for Nina to stop

Nina glares silently at Yuki. Nina starts glowing yellowish as she is surrounded by a strong surge of energy

“I’m sorry if I’ve offended you, I thought answering your confession while you were in danger would hurt you more. Please turn back to the sweet girl I dated” Yuki said with a combination of shock and sadness

“Liar, you only went out with me because of this “danger” to my life. If it weren’t for this, you wouldn’t even talk to be. Victor was right, all of you are LIARS” Nina said angrily. She then charges her lightning and fires a big bolt of lightning at Yuki

Yuki uses his future vision power to see the direction of the attack and he dodged.

“Victor?” Yuki is surprised and curious

Kim hears the name and looks seriously. He is still on the ground trying to stand up as he asks Nina “So it was Victor Cross. Was he the one who arranged all this?” Kim asked

“I don’t care” Nina screams and the thunder roared along with her voice

Yuki makes a sad expression. “Nina, I had a very good time with this date, in fact you were the first girl that ever asked me out. I’m begging you please stop”

“Liar, Liar LIAR.” Nina screams and fires a barrage of bolts at Yuki from all directions

Yuki uses his future vision over and over and easily dodge all the attacks by jumping left and right

“I’m telling you the truth Nina, I can barely talk to people when I was younger, and no one would ever ask me out let alone want to be my friend.” Yuki said with pride

Nina stares silently

“It doesn’t matter what the reason for this date was. Nina, my answer to your confession, YES, I do want to be your boyfriend.” Yuki blushes as he said that

Nina is shocked by what she heard

“Please let us help you” Yuki said as he extends his hand and walks slowly to Nina

Kaito, Amber, and Kim hears the statement while struggling to stand up

“What passion.” Amber said as she struggles to stand up

“That kid is sooo lucky.” Kaito said as he starts shaking with jealousy as he also try to get back on his feet

The Nina looks on silently

Nina changes her expression after some hesitation “Let me ask you this, and then what?”

“What?” Yuki is surprised by her question as he stops walking

“Your confession won’t mean SQUAT when I’m in an asylum” Nina screamed as lightning bolts are fire at every direction around her

Yuki dodges with his powers but as he dodges, he steps on one of the cracked floors and loses his balance which causes him to fall.

Yuki tries to stand up but he feels his ankle in pain “Ow I-I twisted my ankle.” Yuki said with a desperate expression

Nina stares at Amber, Kaito, and Kim, all three still trying to stand up. “Oh well, since I can’t have you anyway Yuki.”

Yuki looks at Nina with worry as he forces himself to stand up

“I’ll kill you and then myself.” Nina screamed in anger

Yuki sees a vision He sees Nina firing a huge lightning bolt one after another which makes a direct hit at Amber, Kaito, and Kim turning them almost to ashes

Yuki is in shock as he breathes heavily. “Nina, don’t please.” Yuki sheds tears of disbelief

Nina ignores him and charges her lightning

Yuki starts to cry in desperation as he stands up with one foot and tries to run in a limp. He falls to the ground again; he makes a big ice needle on his hand and then begins crying, I’m sorry Nina.” Yuki throws the big ice needle straight at Nina

Nina sees the needle coming but chooses not to block it as she smiles before the ice needle hits her in the chest. Nina then starts falling to the ground she looks at a crying Yuki and smiles at him warmly. The lightning around her starts dying down

Yuki recalls what happened during the day. How he approached Nina in her seat to give the schedule form, how they were walking together on the street, Yuki blushing as Nina tries to take his shirt off, and their conversation in the coffee shop. Yuki then starts crying and screams

Nina lies dying on the ground, the ice needle melting while still lodged on her chest. Yuki then begins running again on a limp to where Nina is lying. He doesn’t feel the pain of his twisted ankle and only concentrates on getting to Nina.

Yuki holds Nina in his arms and while crying “I’m sorry, I’m sorry”

“It’s alright” Nina said as she struggles with her words. “H-e-y Yu-ki” Nina looks at Yuki’s face

“I-‘m glad I saw the s-unset w-ith you.” Nina said with a smile and then she stops moving with her eyes open and tears on it

Yuki is crying and his tears fall to the ground as he cries over Nina’s dead body

Kaito, Amber, and Kim all gather around him, all are silent

“I made it happen.” Yuki said while crying and shaking. “I made the vision happen.”

Cher arrives from her car in the park and sees the whole scene. She is in shock as she gets to the scene
