-Tortured Creatures- by Keaton Foster Tortured creatures Delectable features Consumable flesh Dissectible all the rest Pieces of former greatness Nothing will be spared Everything will be forgotten I know there is always next A victim only buys so much time Life is only worth so much The need will again crater I will be brought down To deepest depths of darkness There the necessity will arise Out of the nothing will come A need to again obliterate Something so very much alive Tortured creatures Killing is not something done For the sake of doing it There is nothing about it That sits right in the mind Of the man holding the end Bothersome it has always been Troublesome it will again become Victims are always a plenty There are those who I fear Are just meant to die And those wanting to survive It has always been a matter Of killers and victims Seeing and understanding That there is a difference Is where survival comes in Tortured creatures On both sides of this calamity Maybe in time I’ll get caught Locked away, an animal in a cage I’ll be right at home There within my skin and bones The only difference will be Those who I decide are the prey Will more than likely Be exactly like me A prison of predators With just few to feast upon That could be quite fun Tortured creatures Horrid abominations Of every good intention Messed up casualties of war Victims and victimizers Sustainable at present But at some distant point Such balance will no longer Be the case… Tortured Creatures Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
