The darkness covered my eyes as worry began to take over. Alex and I both sank deeper into the pit. “No one will find us in here,” Alex stated. We searched for the ways out but only did we go down faster. Our whole bodies lurking and prowling for ways to escape. Hard objects began to touch our bodies with every thrust or simple movement. “We have to fight in order to get out. Push Harder Alex,” I yelled. With our hands entwined together, we held on to dear life. Bodies trusting together, as Alex and I fought to get out this horrible place. Under these hard brittle objects came a lost soul. “Please little one. Help us! For we have been trapped in this bad place for about thirty minutes. We don’t believe our family is looking for us. Can you help us escape,” Alex exclaimed with his voice cracking. “Sure my new friends. First you have to go all the way to the bottom and push as hard as you can. You will them resurface from this everlasting pit,” the boy said as he disappeared into the darkness. Scared and frightened that this dense plan wouldn’t work we hesitated. As memories flooded with images of our family, we decided that whether the plan worked or not that we had to try. We slowly twist and twirled in order to sink deeper. Soon our little feet touched the ground and it was time to leave this dark and mysterious place “1.2.3!” Alex and I jumped for dear life. Seconds later we were out from beneath this horrible place. The sun was out and we cried with joy “Never again will we play in the ball pit,” Alex and I exclaimed. |
