Poem about moving through life. |
I walk down the long long hallway, and I pick things up. The people say “You need these things” So I take them. Now I have so many things But I’m still alone I walk down the long long hallway, I’ve got so many things The people say “Grow out of your old things” So I do. Now I have newer things They are less fun. I walk down the long long hallway with my nice, boring things The people say “Put your things in your space” I made a space for them But now I don’t move forward My things and I are alone I sit in the long long hallway, in my lonely space The people don’t talk to me anymore I hate my things I want to see other spaces Other people’s things I walk down the long long hallway, visiting other people’s spaces The people say “here are my wonderful things!” Their things are like mine Their spaces are about the same I keep walking I walk down the long long hallway, everything looks the same The people say “quit wandering, settle down” Then I meet you You are wandering too We walk together We walk down the long long hallway, we laugh at people’s spaces You say “I want you to stay with me, in my space” So I do. We are happy together But I miss my things |
