A poem about trying to hide from life's unavoidable pains.
I've learned to live in darkness,
a blank stare on my face.
Where once I used to live my life,
a distant zombie takes my place.

Day to night, to week, to month,
years piled on a shelf.
N every morn I grab my cloak,
and drag it round myself.

My head I wrap up tightly,
why do I try to hide?
Arms, shoulders, legs and feet,
all neatly tucked inside.

I use my cloak to hide myself,
to keep away the doom.
But suddenly it came to me,
this cloak is now my tomb.
