-The Answer Won’t Explain It- by Keaton Foster Question Redemption Via Rendition I’m not mistaken Just placating To myself And every other Slight variation Human is this being Wild are such dreams Upon the edge I further stand Closer to the sky Ever opening wide I reach out for God He himself Not quite found There in the hubris Of human kind He does indeed hide He won’t come to bear He won’t come to stand Never to be near He’ll remain An image delayed A prophet escaped I must accept his place Or lack thereof He confesses meaning And requires us His children so blind To find our own reason He won’t show us the way Even if the path is laid Even if we stand with fate He will show us nothing But he will explain to us A sorted version of everything It is us that must find the answer To the question We are continually asking Why are we here Legitimate Fair Logically squared An ideal preponderance To be printed on t-shirts That none of us would wear Chic The answer will not be It could not be a secret Because it could not be kept Contained Corralled in anyway It would be out there Like water Like air Like clarity ensnared Both for the masses And the individual wreckage Of the entire human condition Thus again Question Redemption Via Rendition I’m not mistaken Just placating To myself And every other Slight variation Hear this Understand Let it kick around In your brain In your heart The answer won’t explain it Nor was it ever meant to Fate and faith Justification Must indeed wait When we are deceased Released We will know But we will tell no one Why would we want to… The Answer Won’t Explain It Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
