She weeps

She weeps when the lashings don’t disappear. She fears him too much to leave. He’s too charismatic for the police to believe her. When she shows them the scars they send her to the ward for self-harm.



She weeps for her children. The ones that are affected but it the most. She takes the hits so her children don’t have to. So they only have scars on the inside.



She wept the most when she pulled the trigger. When her son had enough and dad got tired of hitting mom. She could live with him hurting but touch her kids and you’ve dug your own grave.
