Farm Home

I remember when I was a boy.
On the farm doing my chores.
I would start work before dawn.
Work until daylight was gone.

Again tomorrow do the same.
Enjoying life no wealth to gain.
Just doing what I wanted to do.
Happy while I done it all too.

Feeding the animals everyday.
Corn for food sometimes hay.
Horses, chickens and cows.
Hogs, and in the spring plow.

Raise a garden for the winter.
Can the vegetables for dinner.
I lived healthy on the farm.
Doing my chores at the barn.
