| A rabbit named Hippity Hop Hopped over the mountain top Went down to the village to shop For a very fine lollipop Old McGinty the traffic cop On his way to the coffee shop Screeched to a sudden stop Missed jay-walking Hippity Hop "It would be worse than a bippity-bop" Said McGinty the traffic cop, "If I hadn't been able to stop" "But I'm going to the coffee shop And the charges I'm willing to drop Won't you join me for a soda pop" "Most certainly," said Hippity Hop "That sounds better than a bippity bop" And friendship grew in the coffee shop Between officer McGinty and Hippity Hop |
