Gum

Not only was gum on my face and in my hair but I had also managed to step on someone else's discarded gum in my haste to rid myself of my sticky nightmare. It was everywhere and no amount of scrubbing or wiping of towels would clean up this mess. It was a school fundraiser; put as many pieces of gum in your mouth as you could and if you were able to pop a bubble, you won. While, whoo-hoo, I'm a winner; a winner with gum in her hair and her picture in the paper.
