Garuch stood transfixed as a huge inferno consumed his house. Then he stared at his fingers, where the sparks that set his home on fire jetted out from. A minute passed, and then another. Garuch’s face broke into a maniacal smile.
The power was his.

Two hooded figures hurried across the Mississippi coast, their robes billowing around them as they hastened to meet their third.
“Quick. Leno, Remias,” The third, Elynn said when the duo seeking him reached where he was. “There’s no time.”
He gestured into a waiting boat and all three filed in. Then finally in the middle of the ocean, under the cover of the dark sky and with the full moon their guide Leno spoke;
“This has never happened before.”
“It was bound to happen. Garuch is not like any other.” Elynn replied worriedly. “What does this mean? He takes over the world again?”
Remias looked around, as if someone might hear them. Someone inside the deep blue ocean.
“I think so.” He whispered after a while.
Leno shook his head sadly, “What do we do?”
“We ask the Master.” Elynn answered.

The cave the trio entered was silent and dark. At the foot of a huge mound in the shape of a lion sat the Master, none of them looked up as they bowed.
“Speak,” He commanded.
Elynn kneeled. His face directed to the ground. “Master -”
“NOOOO!!!” The cry came from Leno. He’d looked up and saw that Master wasn’t Master at all. The figure that swooped down had the face of… Garuch?
They barely had time to notice their real masters sprawled body on the floor when they stumbled. Their knees wobbling, as they fell face first into the hard ground.
Garuch smiled as he loomed over them. He was back.
